They always say “good things come to those who wait,” and this engagement session certainly fits that quote. I met Becca & Campbell through Thumbtack earlier this year, and we set a date for their photos in mid-March. The week came, and the threat of bad weather also came with it. So we rescheduled for April 1. Guess what happened on April 1?
Yep. We had a blizzard. Thankfully, it didn’t turn out to be as bad here as they had thought it would, but we rescheduled our session for the next morning.
We met early the morning after the blizzard in downtown Newburyport. It was still chilly, but the sun was out and we practically had the downtown area to ourselves. Not too mention the fresh blanket of snow on the ground.
I knew as soon as I met these two, I was going to love spending time with them. They are so laid back and absolutely adorable together. I was totally swooning over Becca’s beautiful ring too. The sapphire’s on either side of the diamond made it so unique and gorgeous!
We hiked from the boardwalk, to the Oldies Marketplace, and to the Maritime Museum, before heading back to our cards to venture over to Atkinson Common to get some photos among the fresh snow and big pines. And these were quite possibly, my favorite photos from the session. Atkinson was a winter wonderland when we arrived, and completely empty. The snow looked untouched.
It was truly a pleasure to meet Campbell + Becca and capture their engagement photos for them. I wish them a lifetime of love and happiness!
