Maudslay State Park in Newburyport has become one of my go-to spots for pictures. There are just so many options and it’s a great place for kids…. especially when they just want to run around. This shoot was the first of back-to-back sessions and it was the epitome of a hot summer day. It was just around 10 AM when we started and it was already HOT, but I was super excited to get started.
Megan (the mom) and I went to middle and high school together, so it was great fun to reconnect, catch-up and meet two of her adorable children! The older brother instantly became my new best friend and the little sister wasn’t so sure about the crazy lady with the camera at first, but she warmed up! Especially when it meant she got to play in puddles and jump off rocks. I mean, c’mon, what kid wouldn’t think that’s awesome!
We meandered around the park, letting the kids run around and I snapped away. By the end, it were hot, sweaty and laughing. The kids were naturals in front of the camera and I was thrilled with the results.
