When we set up our annual barn mini session dates with High Tail Acres back in January, we had no idea that we would end up buried in over 8 feet of snow in just a few weeks. There was a point in time this winter that I was convinced we would still have snow on the ground when the mini sessions finally arrived. Normally optimistic me suddenly was very pessimistic about the snow wreaking havoc on some of my favorite sessions of the year.
Thankfully, as soon as the temperatures warmed up and we saw the sun more regularly, the giant snow piles began to shrink and before we know, there wasn’t a trace in sight of the worst winter on record in the Boston area.
The weekend of the mini sessions, we lucked out with weather as we always seem to do. Saturday looked like we might be in for some rain, but luckily, the clouds just filled the sky and the rain stayed away. Sunday was bright and sunny (almost too sunny at times), but we found plenty of shady spots to snap pictures.
Now, for the barn mini sessions blog posts this year, I’m not going to describe every single moment. I’m going to let you sit back, and enjoy the pictures, as they tell most of the story.
First up for the barn mini sessions, Samanatha and Deano. And boy, were there shots adorable! Sammie and her “spunky monkey” as she lovingly calls him were total naturals in front of the camera, and I loved how their photos came out. Enjoy!
