As a photographer, who also works full-time, I try to schedule a lot of my sessions for late afternoon and evenings. Once daylight savings kicks in, it can certainly make scheduling sessions a bit more challenging. After work during the week is out of the question, and late afternoon means we’re usually chasing the sunlight.
But what I do love about shooting in the late afternoon with the sun setting early is the beautiful glow we get.
This family met me on the waterfront in Newburyport for a session on a Saturday afternoon. We knew we would be pushing the light just a little bit, but after having a bright, sunny day, I knew we would be able to get some great shots. Can we talk about how cute the little monster hoodie is?!
Towards the end, the sun set and we had a glorious bright pink sky behind us. A perfect way to end the session.
